We will move you across town or around the world!
Karen R Great company to work with! They were fast and professional, even in the hot weather. This is my second time using them, and I’ll definitely be back. Thanks, Bob and team! Dale Anthony I booked Lee’s Moving Company to move my 3-bedroom house. The movers were prompt, polite, and hardworking, even with stairs at both locations. The company was responsive, even helping me locate a missing cord after the move. Highly recommend! Charlotte Sundquist Just wanted to say what an awesome job Lee's Moving crew did for us on our most recent warehouse move. It was a lot of work, but with a coordinated effort of four employees and two 26 foot trucks they were able to seamlessly make it happen in one work day. Thank you again....Lee's would be my first call if I needed to schedule another move in the future. Dana Mullen Lee’s Moving Company made our move a breeze! All of their employees were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the whole moving experience. They took the utmost care for ALL of our belongings. Each item was disassembled, safely packaged, moved, and reassembled. They surpassed all of our expectations and will absolutely recommend them to anyone in need of a moving company. Greg T Service and responsiveness was fantastic from beginning to end. Bob and Andres were amazing. Handled everything professionally and went above and beyond to make a stressful hectic day a better oneGoogle rating score: 4.7 of 5, based on 116 reviews
Before you even consider Highland Beach as a prospective town for relocation, there’s one very important question you need to answer; do you care about wildlife and the environment? If your answer is “no”, you may find Highland Beach to be a slightly restrictive place to live. If “yes”, you probably wouldn’t find anywhere better. Let Lee’s Moving Company move you there, stress-free.
Highland Beach is a perfect small town, completely surrounded by convenient, easy-to-reach big towns and cities. It is bordered by Delray Beach and Boca Raton on its northern and southern sides, and by the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and the Intracoastal Waterway to the west.
The town sits right on the A1A, which also serves as its main street, although you would never think of the A1A as a state road at that point – various trees line the sidewalks, and there are no traffic lights within the town.
If you’re thinking that no traffic lights in a Florida Beach Town sounds too good to be true, wait till you hear how small the population is. If you love the small town vibe, and you really want to live in a beach town, Highland Beach is the place for you. The year-round population is around 4000 people, although this number does increase significantly during the temperate winter months.
The town consists largely of retirees, with a median age of 66 and over 80% of the population above the age of 45. Despite its diminutive size, the Town of Highland Beach offers all the necessary municipal services, many of which are supplied through contract.
Highland Beach has a strong pride for the veterans who have come from or relocated to the town, and information on these brave souls is available on the town’s official website. There are also a number of branches of Florida and Palm Beach senior services provided, including Alzheimer’s Community Care and Palm Beach County Division of Senior Services.
Located in the southeastern part of Florida, the town enjoys a temperate, tropical climate, with hot, wet, humid summers, and windy but moderate winters. It is also a very important nesting ground for sea turtles, boasting about three miles of beaches. During the summer months, from March to October, the sea turtles make their nests on the beaches at night, before heading back to the sea.
When the babies hatch a few weeks later, they follow in their mothers’ footsteps, guided by the reflection of the moon and stars on the water. Sadly, because it is light that guides them, any artificial light coming from the beachfront will confuse them and prevent their arrival in the waves.
Citizens are asked to respect the nesting grounds during the summer months, and turn off all beachfront lighting at night. It is up to all residents and visitors to help protect these endangered animals, and since less than one in 1000 survive to adulthood, we should all take this very seriously. Please don’t move to Highland Beach if you don’t intend to do your part.
